EmCare currently staffs the Emergency department at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. This
model provides an opportunity for the hospitalist to work alongside the ED providers in a collegial environment with
teamwork as the priority. This is a well-establishe! d model of managing patient's in the inpatient setting. It has! proven
effective in managing throughput times, length of stay, and core measures.
