Friend Family Health Center (FFHC) operates as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering a wide range of health and social services at four locations, serving over 16 communities, on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. We are seeking experienced, full-time Physicians with relevant work experience, credentialing and residency in Family Practice.
We seek employees who support our mission and who actively contribute to our service-driven environment by enhancing the patient experience and improve overall productivity. Besides compassionate quality care, uncompromising service and clinical excellence, providers must be able to move around 1/3rd to 2/3rds of the day and sit at a workstation or in patient rooms for long periods of time, to include flexibility in schedule, work hours or working at one of our five (5) collaborative environments, when necessary and work at irregular times to evaluate patients. Qualifications
Experience:
Working with underserved populations highly desired. Certification through the Drug Enforcement Agency and valid licensure in the State of Illinois required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
Education
:
Completion of accredited Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) program required. Board Certification or board â€" eligible in area of specialty (internists/pediatricians, family practice, obstetrics/gynecology) required. Family Practice specialty strongly preferred.
Other Skills
: Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.). Effective oral and written communication skills required with a model motivating personality toward patients, colleagues, Medical Assistants and other support staff. Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and keyboarding skills required, and must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays.

are subject to change as determined by FFHC’s administration and the contracted entities (i.e. Blue Cross Blue Shield and MetLife).
Vacation:
Physicians receive three weeks or 15-days per year
Sick Leave:
10 days per year
Holidays:
Eight paid holidays per calendar year
Personal Days:
Three days (awarded on January 1, April 1, and August 1)
403 (b) Retirement Plan:
Upon date of hire, with an employee match after 12 months of consecutive service, dollar-for-dollar and up to 5% of annual base pay
Medical:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois major medical to enrollees and is covered by FFHC at 80% (meaning the employee pays 20%)
Short Term Disability (STD)/Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance:
MetLife STD require a 7-day waiting period. Plan pays up to 60% of annual base pay.
Dental:
MetLife Dental to enrollees and is covered by FFHC at 80%.
Vision:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and MetLife discount programs
Life Insurance:
Employees are eligible upon date of hire and is covered by FFHC at 100% ($25,000 for employees ONLY). No additional life insurance or dependent insurance available
Malpractice Insurance:
FFHC provides defense and indemnification for claims of professional negligence under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to its employed attending physicians, Residents and Fellows (at no cost) during the period of their employment or training at FFHC.
Continuing Medical Education (CME):
Physicians are offered five (5) CME days per anniversary year, plus $1,500 to help defray CME costs as well as Student Loan Repayment programs subject to National Health Service Corporation (NHSC)/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) approval.
