The Department of Medicine's Section of Hospital Medicine at The University of Chicago has opportunities for well-trained internists to join our dynamic academic hospitalist program. We have nation! ally recognized programs in research and education that build on collaborations throughout the University and are active in clinical operations and quality improvement in the Medical Center. We seek full-time clinicians who will provide direct patient care, teach and supervise our residents and medical students, and pursue academic and scholarly activities. Qualified candidates must demonstrate academic potential relevant to hospital medicine in teaching, research, or administration, including quality improvement.
Direct patient care responsibilities include managing patients with complex subspecialty needs and involve night and weekend coverage. Excellent clinical judgment and teaching skills are essential. Candidates must have a medical degree, be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
