Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Internist in our Northwestern Executive Health Practice . This position will be on staff at Northwest! ern Memorial Hospital and will hold faculty appointment from N! orthwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Qualifications: Required: You must have or be eligible to obtain a permanent Illinois medical license in good standing and be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine. You must be eligible to obtain a faculty appointment at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine within first year of employment; Graduate of a fully accredited medical school, and completion of residency. Desired: Graduated in top 25% of residency class and have a minimum of 5 years post residency.
Essential Functions: Evaluates patients clinically to identify medical issues. Evaluates patient’s health behaviors to identify potential lifestyle changes that could impact overall health and wellness. Provides one-day comprehensive assessments for majority of executive patients, but may also function as patient’s primary ca! re physician if patient elects medical concierge option. Conducts thorough history and physical examinations with senior executives and individuals. Customizes patient’s visit (including specialist referrals, lab work, imaging and preventive services) based on health history and current health concerns. Quarterbacks patient’s day by communicating with specialists and wellness professionals both before they see the patient and afterward. Helps patients identify goals and motivation for lifestyle change and coaches patient in the use of specific strategies for making those changes. Provides written documentation of all patient assessments and follow up contact in the EMR. Prepares same-day, customized summary report with results of testing and lifestyle recommendations. Serves as the primary care physician for a limited number of patients who elect a medical concierge option; ensures prompt access to physician via both phone and in person visits for these patients. Collab! orates on the development of program components at NEH as part of commi! tment to continuous improvement. Keeps abreast of current literature in medicine, wellness and behavior change. Teaches a limited number of hours each year in the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. Assists in the day-to-day oversight of the clinic including direct supervision of the allied health personnel employed by the NMPG at the clinic. Adheres to all policies and procedures established by NMPG and the payors with which NMPG contracts. Conforms to the billing, collection, record-keeping (including medical record-keeping) and related systems and practices established from time to time by NMPG and the payors with which NMPG contracts. Provides "on-call" coverage as reasonably required by NMPG. Teaches medical residents as may be reasonably required by NMPG.
