The purpose of this job is to administer and interpret various neuropsychollogical tests to adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Neuropsycholo! gist.
There are mulitple resource opportunities within the NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group located in Glenview and 909 David Street in Evanston. The hours will be between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or related field
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, other healthcare professionals and the community
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have a positive attitude toward impaired patients
- Administration of neuropsychological tests under the supervision of neuropsychologist, behavioral neurologist, or geriatrician
- Scoring of the neuropsychological tests
- Assisting the neuropsychologist, behavioral neurologist, or geriatrician in documenting results and writing result reports
- As! sisting patients and their families with completion of various! forms
- Coordinating scheduling with other members of the care team
- Participating in treatment planning process through appropriate communication and documentation in the medical record
- Maintaining test materials for the neuropsychologists and behavioral neurologists
- Updating of normative data for neuropsychological and psychological tests
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned
